A water-based exterior wood finishing system
Designed for use on log homes, outdoor furniture, decking, gazebos and other outdoor structures. Natural Effect is a water-based exterior wood finishing system that utilizes state-of-the-art European waterborne technology. It is designed to repel water, appear natural with only a light sheen and to not flake, chip, peel or chalk over time. Instead, it is designed to slowly degrade until it can no longer be seen or felt, at which point you simply wash to clean the wood it was on and re-apply a fresh coat of Natural Effect Finish. The Natural Effect Impregnating Stain for color will long outlast the Natural Effect Finish, so it is not necessary to re-apply the stain until the colors have faded. Natural Effect Finish will generally last for a few years. Still, because it doesn’t create a film, re-application is fast, efficient and inexpensive, creating a desirable appearance, while providing a significant maintenance cost and labor savings.

IMPREGNATING AGENTS FOR WOOD:
Waterborne products suitable for the preliminary treatment of the wood before the application of the Natural Effect finish, containing biocides, algicides and fungicides. They are generally tinted, their function is to preserve the wood from damaging ultraviolet rays from the sun, thus preventing the change in color of the wood and promoting optimal adhesion of the Natural Effect finish.
EASY TO APPLY:
Impregnating stains are easily applied by brush, roller, pump sprayer or traditional spray equipment.
As with any waterborne system technology, they go on milky and they “clear” as they dry. No matter how inconsistently or unevenly applied, the color is perfectly even when dry. Special caution should be used in not allowing the impregnating stain to get on surrounding window frames, masonry, etc. as they penetrate so well that they cannot be removed.
TWP® Impregnating stains are tinted with iron oxide pigments, contain UV absorbers and are extremely resistant to solar radiation. Their function is to preserve the wood from degradation (UV light, microorganisms, etc.), thus preventing the change in color of the wood, in addition to promoting adhesion of the TWP® Natural Effect Finish.
